Onions.
Onions cry
Onions live
And onions die.

Onions.
You cut them open with a knife,
And thus ends the short life of an onion.

The onion is carelessly thrown into the ground
To grow for years and years with little a sound,
Nothing to do, but wait for the consumer to eat them.
And thus ends the life of an onion.

It's not that often we think about onions
We see them in burgers,
Guacamole,
Onion rings,
Onion soup,
Sour cream and onion chips,
And do we give the poor onion a second thought?

Onions live,
Onions die,
Onions laugh,
Onions cry.
Onions don't reason why,
Because they're onions and they can't talk,
So it is my job to think for the onions.
