EREYESTERDAY AND OVERMORROW
CHARLES:
Ereyesterday
That's the day before yesterday
Overmorrow
That's the day after tomorrow
Somebody I know showed me these words
Sadly nowadays, they are seldom heard
Two days ago
Or you could just say ereyesterday
Two days from now
Or you could just say overmorrow
Somebody I know showed me these words
Sadly nowadays, they are seldom heard
Ereyesterday
It was a beautiful cloudy day that day
Overmorrow
It will be so bright and sunny day that day
Somebody I know showed me these words
Sadly nowadays, they are seldom heard
We should bring them back and give them a try
Say anything else, I just don't know why.

POWDERED CREAMER KIND OF DAY
CHARLES:
Well let me take you back to October
I didn't think I'd get over
The breaking news that I'd be on the jury
I had to be at the courthouse in a hurry
I had to bring my coffee along with me
But as for creamer, I ran out of dairy
So I realized it would be one of those days
Where not everything goes my way
I sat in a room for a while
And the judge came in with his fake smile
He told us which ones of us were exempt
And it was gonna be just like I'd dreamt
I was there to record it all
Just in case the proceedings happened to fall
Through the cracks of recent history
But as long as I was there, it was coming with me
And less and less people were able to stay
It was a powdered creamer kind of day
And soon, the judge was able to say
It was a powdered creamer kind of day
Soon there were 48 of us
And he wanted 64 for it to be just
But more people left than stayed along
It got to the point where I sang this very song
And then the judge had the nerve and the gall
To go down and just tell us all
The drug dealer that was to be on trial
Entered a plea agreement, so it was all futile
And more and more people went away
It was a powdered creamer kind of day
And soon, my bus driver was able to say
It was a powdered creamer kind of day
And that's all I've got to say
It was a powdered creamer kind of day.

ERSATZ MY NAME
CHARLES:
I put a stain on my name and it can't remain the same
So I gotta use a pseudonym and nobody will notice him
He's John Doe or Jane Smith or Lee Harvey Dane
But it's all ersatz my name
I went through Hell and put a spell on the name I knew so well
So I gotta use a false one and nobody will have lost one
I'm Ellen L or Martin M or Patty N or O
But it's not my name, oh no
I gotta skip this town
Nobody'll track me down
I gotta catch the train
And change my government name
I put a mark on my card and my reputation's scarred
Forever will I live like this, and socially I just won't fit
I'm not going to use the name I was assigned at birth
But it's all for what it's worth

FISH 'N' CHIPS
CHARLES:
I feel like I wanna eat some fish
But I can't go wrong with adding on some chips
It's a classic combo you can eat for lunch
The perfect contrast, chewy and some crunch
The fish gets smeared in some batter
Flour, eggs and beer
And then it gets fried in oil
To a perfect golden brown sear
The chips go in after that, and
Then they come out to dry
And soon they're on a plate to wait
For my appetite to arrive
I feel like I wanna eat some fish
But I can't go wrong with adding on some chips
It's a classic combo that I'll never tire of
It's a comfort food that I and many love
Now that I've gotten my food, it's
Time to add the sauce
The chips get doused in malt vinegar
Till it burns my tongue right off
The fish is treated with ketchup
And some tartar sauce too
I think I'll actually shut up
Lest I make it sound boring to you

I'M JUST SO HAPPY
CHARLES:
I am so happy, I don't know why
I'm just so happy, I could die
I'm happy that you're by my side, yeah
Finally I am satisfied
When you're down I can pick you right up
I'm very lucky to be surrounded by your love
I'm happy to be here with you
And I'm glad to make you happy too
When I'm at my lows, you're always there
You and I make such a lovely pair
When I'm down you always pick me up
I'm very lucky to surround you with my love
Now I am happy in another key
I'm really happy as can be
When we're down we pick each other up
We should be so lucky to be surrounded by our love...

SEEING SARA IN THE SUN
SARA:
"You wanna go on a picnic? I've never been on a picnic! It sounds so fun! What if we went to the park? We could go to that local park! Oh, we could have paninis and... and-- oh, I like coke floats, we could do that!"
Remember our first picnic together?
We cooked the food ourselves
We ate it at the park one day
Sharing with no one else
It just felt good to be with you
Having so much fun
And you were so happy to see your Sara in the sun
Remember walking our cats together?
It was them and you and me
We walked for hours and hours
Seeing all there was to see
It just felt good to be with you
Having so much fun
And you were so happy to see your Sara in the sun
La da da da da dum...
Mmmm....
Remember when we swam together?
On July the 10th?
We held each other while flowing downstream
And we looked how far we went
It just felt good to be with you
Having so much fun
And you were so happy to see your Sara in the sun.
